Richard A. Bartolomeo died on Dec. 25. He was 89.

Bartolomeo was born on Jan. 27, 1936, in the Bronx to Frank and Rosina (Flamino) Bartolomeo, one of eight children. The family moved to Pine Plains in 1948.

Bartolomeo served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956, after which he became a partner in
Bart Brothers Inc., fuel oil distributors, in Pine Plains, where he worked until retiring in 1991.

Bartolomeo is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marion (Rundall) Bartolomeo; a daughter, Lisa
Marie (Kevin) Thiemann; and a son, Richard Bartolomeo Jr. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Renee (Richard) Bouchey and a great-grandson, Robert James Bouchey. Also
surviving him are three brothers, Joseph (Marie) Bartolomeo, William (Dawn) Bartolomeo and
Charles (Laurel) Bartolomeo, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Three brothers,
Peter Bartolomeo, Robert Bartolomeo and Francis Bartolomeo, died before him, as did a sister,
Ceila Coons.

Visiting hours will be held on Jan. 2 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Peck & Peck Funeral Homes,
7749 S. Main St., Pine Plains, followed by a funeral service. Interment will be private.
