Instead of flowers, the family asked for donations to support Dr. Tapan Kadia’s research into T-cell prolymphocytic leukemia at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Donations can be made at gifts.mdanderson.org by selecting the option to designate a gift and entering “Dr. Kadia’s T-PLL research” in the comment box. The family also encouraged people to register as bone marrow donors through NMDP, formerly known as Be The Match, at nmdp.org.
