
Joseph P. McCluskey Jr. of Pine Plains died on July 26. He was 70.
McCluskey was born on Nov. 2, 1954, in New York City, the son of Joseph P. McCluskey Sr. and Anne (Conger) McCluskey. He graduated from the State University of New York at Syracuse with a degree in forestry and worked for the real estate firm
Helmsley Spears in New York City for many years.
McCluskey is survived by his partner of 38 years, Michael Montagna; six siblings: Mary (Eric Dumas) Cotard, James McCluskey, Robert McCluskey, Richard (Berna) McCluskey, Susan (Keith) Jaeger and Martin (Kathleen) McCluskey; as well as by four nieces, eight nephews and three great nieces. A sister, Kathleen McElroy, died before him.
Visiting hours will be on Aug. 1 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Peck & Peck Funeral Homes, 7740 S. Main St., Pine Plains. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Aug. 2 at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, Pine Plains. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Pine Plains.

Very sorry for your loss. He had a wonderful singing voice in church at St Anthony’s. May he rest in God’s care.
