George P. Williams of Elizaville died on Sept. 23. He was 85.
Williams was born on Feb. 15, 1940, in New Milford, Conn., the son of Philip J. and Jennie (McIntyre) Williams. He married Alice H. Mitchel on April 18, 1958. She died in 2020.
Williams was the owner of Elizaville Sand & Gravel. He was also a founding member of the Old Time Power Association.
He is survived by his children, Philip (Nancy) Williams and Steven (Dawn) Williams; three grandchildren: Joslyn Ravas, Mark Williams and Alexander Williams; four great-grandchildren: John Ravas III, Ryan Ravas, Steven Williams and Allison Williams; his siblings Betty Jo Luther, Jimmy Williams, Randy Williams, Danny Williams, and Philip J. Williams; and by many nieces and nephews. A brother, Thomas Williams, and two sisters, Phyllis Williams and Linda Williams, died before him.
