Raymond Wendover died at his home in Gallatin on Nov. 16. He was 80.

Wendover was born in Poughkeepsie to the late John and Ruth (Sherman) Wendover and grew up in Pine Plains, where he founded and ran Wendover Lawn Service, which is now run by his son, Raymond Wendover.

He married Linda Woodcock in 1965.

Wendover is survived by his wife and their three children, Robert (Lynn) Wendover, Raymond (Carolyn) Wendover, and Darcy Hay; seven grandchildren, Raymond, Casey, Robert, Caitlin, Courtney, Natalia and Tyler; six great grandchildren, Steven, Dylan, Silas, Sarah, Robert and Inessa; and a sister, Millie Murphy. Another son, John J. Wendover, predeceased him, as did his brothers, John Wendover, Bucky Wendover, Joe Wendover and Robert Wendover.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations in Wendover’s name be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention or to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
