There will be a Public Hearing about the Carson Power Solar Project near Pulver’s Corners January 21 at 11:00 a.m. at the Community Room above the Pine Plains Library. Carson Power representatives will begin the meeting with a description of the 45-acre project that is expected to produce ten megawatts of electricity at full capacity. The installation would be located close to the south side of the Central Hudson substation in Pulver’s Corners. The site is currently about half corn fields and half woodland where timber harvesting took place about 6 years ago.
The Public Hearing is being conducted by the Pine Plains Planning Board. Anyone interested is invited to attend and speak if they wish to comment on the solar project.
