The proposed solar farm near Pulvers Corners took a further step forward on Aug. 9 when the town planning board voted to issue a “negative declaration” under the state Environmental Quality Review Act, finding that a formal environmental impact statement is not needed by the project. The finding still needs to be passed in a formal resolution by the board, which is likely to occur at a special meeting the board has set for Aug. 23, at 7:30 p.m. at town hall.
The planning board must next consider the project’s site plan and request for a special use permit, which it will do at its regularly scheduled meeting on Sept. 13 at 7:30 p.m. at town hall. A public hearing on the subject will be held at the beginning of that meeting.
