
The Pine Plains boys junior varsity soccer team broke out in a big way on Wednesday, Sept. 24, powering past Chatham 7-1 at home.
Francisco Jimenez delivered four goals, striking in the 20th, 25th, 30th and 68th minutes. Assists came from Soren McBride, Vinny Mercado and Owen Curtis. Christian Gomez added a goal in the 23rd minute on a setup from Mercado, while Hilario Jimenez finished with goals in the 28th and 60th minutes, both assisted by Francisco.
In goal, Michael Henriquez anchored the Bombers’ defense with eight saves. Pine Plains will return to action Monday, Sept. 29, with a home match against Rhinebeck at 4:15 p.m.
