Pine Plains boys and girls varsity track and field athletes posted multiple top finishes Dec. 19 at a multi-school meet hosted at West Point United States Military Academy.

Daniel McPherson won the 1,600 meters in 4:27, while Violet Bliss captured first place in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:54.

Eighth-grader Soren McBride placed fifth in the high jump at 5 feet, 6 inches. Madison Williams finished eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 27 feet, 7 inches. Edelthom Palma took fourth in the shot put, throwing 35 feet, 5 inches.

The meet featured competitors from more than a dozen schools across the region.
