
Phyllis M. Miller died on March 27 at her home in Pine Plains. She was 88.
She was born on Sept. 16, 1935, to Clarence and Ethel (Hunt) Decker, in Amenia.
Miller is survived by five children: Patricia (Bruce) Hall; Pamela (Steve) Georgiou; Peter (Angela) Murphy; Paula Humphries; and Paul (Ronda) Murphy. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; her close friend and “adopted” daughter, Sheila Imperato; a sister, Katherine Barney; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her two husbands, John Murphy and Clyde Miller; a grandson, John Murphy; two sons-in-law, Bruce Humphries and Richard Eastwood; four brothers and one sister.
A graveside service will be held on May 4, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, Pine Plains.
In lieu of flowers the family requested that donations be made to Hudson Valley Hospice, 374 Violet Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
