The pump was put in operation yesterday and the water reached the reservoir by noon today. A test of discharge was made at the engine house and a half inch tap filled a barrel in one minute. The well is not lowered by the pump and there is no question of an abundant supply. The reservoir will be finished in two weeks and then the plant will be ready for operation.
