When the votes were being cast Tuesday evening Justice Rowe took from the ballot box a slip of paper about the size of a ticket on which was written “ 1 lb saleratus, 2 lb milk crackers, 7 lbs dark brown sugar, 1 sk. yarn woolen, 4 casters, smoking tobacco, overalls.”
