While crossing the footbridge which spans the Roeliff Jansen near the village of Elizaville, James Moore became dizzy and fell from the bridge into the current. But for the timely assistance of Sylvester Stall, who came to the rescue, he would have been drowned. A few years ago, Mr. Stall saved a little son of C.E. Brown from drowning at the same place.
