Louise Ann Odak of Milan died on April 9. She was 86.

Odak was born on Sept. 8, 1929, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. She married Thomas Odak in 1966, and moved to the Odak farm in Milan, where they raised cattle and horses. Her husband was also the manager of the Dutchess County Fairgrounds, where she volunteered at the information booth. He died before her.

Odak worked as a nurse anesthetist and later as a volunteer at Northern Dutchess Hospital. 

She is survived by three stepsons: Perry Odak, Thomas (Sharon) Odak Jr., and Stephen (Kathy) Odak; four step-grandchildren: Dina Odak, James (Gilma) Odak, Stephanie (Dan) Harris and Jamie (Eric) Colon; four step-great grandchildren: Brandon Juran, Justin Juran, James A. Odak and Ricky Colon; and two nephews, Micheal (Marie) Michaels and Alan (Donna) Michaels.

The family asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hudson Valley Hospice or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
