Louis (Buddy) Ford Ginocchio died on Dec. 9. He was 83.
He was born on Aug. 29, 1941, in Sharon, Conn., to Louis and Elizabeth (Ford) Ginocchio.
Ginocchio was raised in Pine Plains and lived there until retiring part-time to Florida. A Navy veteran, he was the founder and operator of Ginocchio Electric, Inc., in Pine Plains until his retirement. He was at various times a local school bus driver, member of the Pine Plains Town Board, and supervisor of the Pine Plains water department.
Ginocchio is survived by his wife, Eleanor Ginocchio; his daughters, Shannon, Melanie and Valerie (spouse Wayne); and five grandchildren, Rebecca, Jacquelyn, Ryan, Meghan and Julie. A sister, Donna Ruhlen, died before him.
Visitation will be on Dec. 13, at Peck & Peck Funeral Homes, 7749 S. Main St., Pine Plains, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Dec. 14 at 10:30 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, Pine Plains, followed by a reception at the Pine Plains Lions Club from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The family asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to a charity in his memory.
