Powerful storms hit twice in four days knocking out power for approx. 10 hours each time. Mrs. Sweet of the local telephone exchange reported quick action by resident Central Hudson representatives Mr. Chorney and Ms. Holtender saved the telephone exchange. Tuesday afternoon during the height of the storm, a wire took fire and quick response saved the situation. (see Stissing Deli fire 9/21/92).
