A beautiful 100 yr old tree on the former Patchin schoolhouse property cracked and fell. During the day a continued cracking noise had been heard about the place but had not been detected as the tree was in seemingly good condition. Carl Chorney, who with his family, lives in the remodeled schoolhouse, happened out at night and saw the tree split in half about 10 ft. above the ground. It fell on his car but the leader held it aloft, causing only slight damage.
