Considered the loveliest true colonial residence in town, the property spoken by many as the old Dr. Davis Place, will soon be demolished. A Grand Union Supermarket is planned for the site. The house was built by Dr. Davis in 1834. Regrets are now being heard that the town did not purchase the property when available for town rooms and post office facilities. The property is on East Church St. next to the Grange Hall.
