Sunday’s snowstorm transformed the Hudson Valley into a winter landscape and Herald readers were quick to document it. Photos submitted from Pine Plains and surrounding communities show roads buried and fields smoothed into white sheets.

The storm dropped an estimated 12 to 18 inches of snow across much of the region, with higher elevations reporting totals on the upper end. While plows worked into Monday and travel slowed, the snowfall also produced quiet, striking winter scenes captured in these reader-submitted photographs.
