Harry R. Wyant, a lifelong resident of Milan, died at his home on April 21. He was 81.
Wyant was born in Milan on June 19, 1942, the son of Henry and Margaret (Cuomo) Wyant and was a graduate of Pine Plains schools.
Wyant worked with Local 203 of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners in Poughkeepsie and retired after 63 years.
Wyant is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joan Wyant; a son, Robert J. Wyant; a daughter, Angela Cartagena; four grandchildren, Austin Cartagena and Joshua Wyant, Morgan Wyant and Jordan Wyant; a brother, Guy Wyant; and two sisters, Mary Juhase and Ruth Yannacone. A brother, James Wyant, and a sister, Sabina Cooney, died before him.
The family requested that donations be made in his memory to the Dutchess County SPCA.
