Glenn W. Dort Sr. of Elizaville died on July 18 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle crash in Red Hook.
Dort was born on Nov. 25, 1950, in Mt. Kisco, N.Y., to Thomas and Elizabeth (Antoine) Dort. He graduated from Germantown High School, and worked at Lorbrook Corp. for 28 years. He then worked for the Germantown School District in its maintenance department until his retirement.
Dort is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara (Cade) Dort; a son, Glenn (Katina) Dort Jr.; a daughter, Barbara (Craig) Dombrowski; three grandchildren: Austin Dort, Jasmine Fuchs and Alyssa Dort; six great grandchildren: Sophia, Gavin, Chandler, Jacob Jr., Braelynn and Alex; a brother, John Blanchard; and a sister, Elizabeth Dort. Another daughter, Patricia Dort, died before him.
