Glenn Lawrence Elliott died on Feb. 23. He was 70.
Elliot was born on Jan. 21, 1954, at Saint Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville, N.Y. He was the son of Ralph and Marge Elliott. The family moved in 1964 from Westchester to Pine Plains, where he attended Stissing Mountain High School.
Elliott owned a painting business in Pine Plains and painted many houses and businesses in town. He was an avid hunter and angler, and was proud to have taken many large deer and a nine-pound largemouth bass from Twin Island Lake.
He is survived by his sister, Gayle J. Beatty; three nephews, Keith Elliott, Joseph Brown and Matthew Brown; a niece, Allison Wurster; and two grandnephews, Jacob Wurster and Brandon Wurster.
A celebration of his life will be held on March 16, from 1 to 3 p.m., at the Lions Club Pavilion in Pine Plains. The family requested that donations in his name be made to Willow Roots, 23 N. Main St., Pine Plains, N.Y. 12567.
