Frederick C. Finkle Jr. died on March 14 at his home in Stanfordville. He was 86.
He was a graduate of Stissing Mountain High School, where he was the president of the Future Farmers of America.
He was a diesel mechanic for H.O. Penn Machinery Co. for 30 years until his retirement. He was a sports enthusiast, and played baseball and bowled.
He was married to Darra J. Dillinger from 1957 until her death in 2013. He is survived by his sons, Mark Finkle, Jeffrey Finkle and Bryan Finkle; his sister, Helen Bird; and one granddaughter.
He has been interred at Stanford Cemetery. The family requested donations be made in his name to 13 Hands Equine Rescue, Inc., 50 Tuscan Way, Clinton Corners, NY 12514.
