Elinor Fox, a longtime resident of Millerton, died Nov. 2. She was 95. 

Born in Bretz, W.Va., on September 11, 1928, she was the daughter of Michael and Mary Popp. Her husband, William, died in 2003. 

Fox was remembered as a talented seamstress, quilter, knitter and crocheter. She was also very skilled with crafts, including stained-glass, wood working, and calligraphy, and was known for her cooking and baking. She also belonged to several book clubs. 

Fox is survived by her daughter, Anna Marie, and her husband, Arthur Broadie; a son, John Fox; and three grandchildren, Andrew, Michael and Francis. 

The family requested that donations in her memory be made to St. Anthony’s Church, 68 Poplar Ave., Pine Plains.
