Donna Jean Stickles died at her home in Clinton Corners on June 18. She was 70.

Stickles was born March 3, 1955, in Mt. Kisco, N.Y., to Jean Louise Phillips and Donald Denbrock, and was raised by her mother and stepfather, William Bancroft Jr.

She attended Stissing Mountain High School and worked most of her career as a caregiver for those in need. 

Stickles is survived by her son, Jayson (Theresa) Barrett, and daughter, Keri Dillinger; six grandchildren, Hannah Barrett, Victoria Dillinger, Alivia Dillinger, James Carr, Mindy Davis, Porsha Davis; three great-grandchildren, Asher, Charlotte, and Bentley; three sisters, Mary Thomson, Cindy Cobble and Patricia Hurley; a brother, Keith Bancroft, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Another brother, William “Billy” Bancroft III, died before her.

A Celebration of Life was held on June 25 at the Pine Plains fire house. 

The family asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Pine Plains Fire Company, P.O. Box 955, Pine Plains, NY 12567, or to Hudson Valley Hospice Foundation, 80 Washington St., Suite 204, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. 12601
