The Hose House on Main St. was the scene of an interesting trial when four young culprits were charged with mischievous mischief and tried before Justice of the Peace Harold Butterfield. The charges against the youths resulted from pranks of knocking down mailboxes in and around the town. The youths had knocked down 19 mailboxes. Judge Butterfield fined each of the defendants $3 each and ordered them to visit all parties who had mailboxes knocked down and make restitution.
