Daniel Guglielmetti of Pine Plains died on March 28, 2023, after a long illness. He was 57.
Guglielmetti was born in Brooklyn and graduated from Stissing Mountain High School in 1983, where he was a track and field participant and set the school pole vault record.
An avid sports fan, he ran the Pine Plains recreation program and coached for many years.
He is survived by his sister, Christine McBeth, his aunt, Rosa Guglielmetti, a niece and several cousins.
The family said plans for a graveside service and celebration of his life will be announced, and asked that donations in his memory be made to the Pine Plains Rescue Squad.
