
Bruce Joseph Pecorella of Pine Plains died on March 1. He was 76.
Pecorella was born on Feb. 6, 1950, in New York City, and graduated from Valley Stream (N.Y.) High School. He married his wife, Marjorie “Cookie” Pearsall, on Aug. 18, 1973, in Valley Stream, and soon moved to Pine Plains.
Bruce retired from a long career at IBM, where he began in Manhattan during the 1970s before
working in East Fishkill, Kingston, and finally at the Albany Nanotech Complex. He was active in the Pine Plains FFA and served as an agricultural advisory board member until his death.
He is survived by three children: Bruce (Christina) of Scriba, N.Y.; Mike (Maureen) of
Lambertville, Mich.; and Jaclyn (TJ) of Pine Plains; seven grandchildren: Savannah, Brucie,
Brandon, Evan, Daniel, Greyson, and Caroline; a great granddaughter, Everly; and a sister, Kathy
Blette. Marjorie Pecorella died in 2023.
A celebration of life will be held at date to be announced. Graveside services will be conducted
privately at St. Charles Resurrection Cemetery in Farmingdale, N.Y. The family asked that
memorial donations may be made to the Pine Plains FFA, 2829 Church St., Pine Plains, NY
