Barbara A. Long of Pine Plains died on June 7. She was 83.
Long was born on Jan. 5, 1942, in New York City to Otto and Anna (Scheich) Hafner. A graduate of Fordham University, she held a master’s degree in social work and worked with individuals suffering from domestic violence and drug and alcohol abuse.
Long is survived by three daughters, Jean Prager, Jennifer Loveday and Jodi Pantley and by six grandchildren: Shawn Prager, Gessner Pantley Jr., Delaney Pantley, Jordan Escobar, John M. Long, and Emily Kirschenbaum as well as by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held at the family’s convenience. The family asked that donations in her name be made to Noble Horizons, Activities Department, 17 Cobble Road, Salisbury, Conn. 06068.
