Alice R. Koletty, of Ancram, died on March 15. She was 100 years old.

Koletty was born in Manhattan and was a teacher and librarian in the New York City public school system until her retirement in 1978, when she moved with her husband, Fred Koletty, to Ancram.

She held many roles in the West Copake Reformed Church, where she founded the “Lunch Bunch” and acted as church “greeter” for visitors to the church.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Geisler, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her husband and her son, also named Fred, predeceased her.

A remembrance service was to be held March 25 at the West Copake Reformed Church. The family requested that contributions be made to the church in lieu of flowers.
