Kevin Matthew Murray of Pine Plains has died. He was 32.
Murray was born on Oct. 13, 1992, in Poughkeepsie. He graduated from Stissing Mountain High School, attended the Culinary Institute of America, and received a bachelor’s degree from SUNY New Paltz. Murray was an active volunteer with the Rhinebeck Senior Center, Stanford Grange, and the American Heart Society.
Murray is survived by his parents, Mike and Linda Murray, of Clinton Corners and Port Saint Lucie, Fla.; his grandmother, Patricia Murray; a great-aunt, Carol Ianaro; an uncle, Steve Murray; and two cousins, Steven Murray and Nicholas Murray.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to Kevin Murray’s Gofundme page, the proceeds of which will go to Stissing Mountain High School scholarships, manatee rescue, and the Stanford Grange. Nonperishable food can also be donated to the Stanford Grange food pantry.
A celebration of life will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at the First United Presbyterian Church, 3039 Church St., Pine Plains. Calling hours will start at 6 p.m. and the service will begin at 7.
