New Musical Play Reading: “The Maker and The Muse”

Stissing Center for Arts and Culture is presenting “The Maker and the Muse” is a new musical, written and performed by Schuyler Press. The story follows two young disillusioned artists: Schuyler (the writer) and Oliver (the actor), as they search for some authenticity in modern day New York City. Schuyler and Oliver are strangers but after a chance encounter in a chain café, they are catapulted into a surreal, musical reimagining of 1960s New York where they step into the lives of Patti Smith and Robert Mapplethorpe.
