Diana Campbell Moore died on Feb. 22. She was 85.

Moore was born on May 4, 1938, the daughter of Margaret G. Eickelberg and Dunlap B. Campbell. She lived in Pine Pains for more than 20 years.

Moore was a member of the board of directors of Willow Roots, the Pine Plains nonprofit where she managed a clothing exchange and helped wash, iron and mend donated clothing. Moore was a champion ice skater and a figure skating instructor at various rinks, giving instruction well into her 70s. Last year, she was the subject of a New Pine Plains Herald article when she received a mobility scooter to help her get around town.

Moore is survived by her son, Jeffrey D. Moore; her daughter, Susan L. Nicolari; seven grandchildren: Thomas D. Moore, Daphne L. Roberts, Evan M. Robers, Samuel A. Moore, William A. Moore, Griffin R. Roberts and Serena E. McKeever; a great-granddaughter, Maya S. Roberts-King; a niece, Megan E. Genthner; and a grandnephew, Maxfield Genthner. A sister, Mona C. Thomas, predeceased her.

A memorial service will be held on March 30, 2024, from 1 to 4 p.m., at the Pine Plains Community Center, above the Pine Plains Free Library. The family requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Willow Roots in Moore’s memory.
