A man stopped at a house occupied by a young lady and her mother a short distance north of the village and inquired the way to Gallatin. He was given the necessary information and went away. A little later the same man or another one was discovered looking into the window and one of the ladies going to the door asked him what he wanted. He then made use of abusive and insulting language at which the young lady called to her mother to bring the revolver and then the fellow returned to the road and left in a buggy keeping up the vile talk until out of hearing.
