The Sunday school of the First Presbyterian church has adopted as its special project for the fall and winter the support of a refugee child in England which the British Save the Children Foundation has taken under its care. The name of the child is Betty Ayling. Her home is in Richmond, Surrey, England. She is 6 yrs of age. She has a brother and a sister. Mr. Ayling is a postman who earns $16.87/wk. His rent is $3.52/wk and he pays an income tax of $3/wk. The family has suffered much during the air raids. The house which they were in when the raid took place fell on them and they were only brought out by the courage of their mother.
