
Stephen Montemorra of Pine Plains died on Sept. 11. He was 78.
Montemorra was born on April 20, 1948, in Poughkeepsie, the son of Michael Montemorra and Mildred Cahill.
After receiving his associate degree from Dutchess Community College, he spent his career working for Central Hudson in various positions for 35 years, and retired in 2008.
Montemorra is survived by his wife, Nancy Proper; two daughters, Cathleen (Chris Johnson) Montemorra and Christine Woodin; six grandchildren: Abigail, Eli, Coty, Jessica, Sara and Dalton; four great grandchildren: Jayson, Molly, Zoe and Lyric; three siblings: Jim Montemorra, Anna Rothvoss and Wayne McBeth. A sister, Patricia, died before him.
Visiting hours will be at Burnett & White Funeral Homes in Red Hook on Sept. 25 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
