Sue Near of Pine Plains died on Aug. 26. She was 69.
Near was born on Nov. 20, 1956, in Sharon, Conn., to Robert Burton and Ida (Vincent) Ingraham.
She was a longtime bus driver for the Pine Plains Central School District and later worked for many years as the office manager at Pine Plains Truck & Auto.
Near is survived by her children, Bruce Near and Angel Near; four grandchildren: Cameron Near, Isaac Near, Shyann Near and Jaden Near; four siblings: Gertrude Pawlikowski, Ruth Personeus, Cindy Corey, Dale Ingraham and Toni Glidewill. Her husband, Bruce Near, predeceased her.
Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, Sept. 8 from 10 a.m. to noon at Peck & Peck Funeral Homes, 7749 S. Main St, Pine Plains. A graveside service will follow at 12:15 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, Pine Plains.
